Position Description

Performs welding on parts and assemblies, stressed and pressurized company equipment and tooling, utilizing various welding processes (GTA, TIG, Electron Beam, etc) on metals and alloys. Determines and sets correct amperage, voltage and speed of travel on hand welding. Performs fitting and layout in conjunction with welding operations as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

*** US Person status required (Citizen or Greencard holder)

Technical training in welding is preferred. The ability to read and interpret detail and assembly blueprints and other reference information is required. Must be able to set-up and operate weld equipment to perform assigned tasks. The successful candidate must be willing and able to obtain welding certification as required by the company. The ability and willingness to work overtime as needed in order to meet production requirements is essential.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the temporary is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel materials. The temporary is regularly expected to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneel. The temporary must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Temporary will need to work near moving mechanical parts and in loud working conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the temporary is occasionally exposed to fumes, chemicals or airborne particles.

Education Requires a high school diploma (or equivalency) and 5 years of welding experience.
