Position Description

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining software for network systems to support our Company Commercial Airplane 787 program. All projects center on the translation of concepts and customer requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications including the physical integration of electrical systems and components into our complex airplanes. Validate designs through both laboratory and airplane testing. Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and through their production life. Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Designs hardware, software and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Position Responsibilities:

· Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements
· Designs software and interface specifications
· Coordination with customers on the development of software and interface specifications
· Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
· Solves problems concerning fielded software over the entire product lifecycle
· Participate as a contributing member to any airplane installation designs and certification efforts for Network Systems and Airplane Programs
· Engage with airline customers to understand their intended use of Network Systems
· Create software scripts to support and/or automate testing procedures and analysis
. Maintain configuration matrix for customer configurations and architectures
. Work engineering releases for airplane definition and options
