Position Description

Supports the Facility Security Officer and Manager, Security by performing duties in an industrial security office primarily by processing visit requests; review data for completeness and accuracy; verify proper access for individuals requesting facility access. Also includes cross functional coordination, background check screening and adjudication. Subsequent duties may include classified document control; assist with processing security clearances for employees; control employee identification badges; maintains security files, inventory and records; review data for completeness and accuracy; verify proper levels of access for individuals gaining access to classified material; assists with security inspections to ensure that security policies/procedures are followed. Performs special studies or administrative investigations regarding security issues. Assists in the development and implementation security training programs, education classes and special subject briefings. Monitors the policies/procedures for granting personnel and visitors' access to the facility and/or access to restricted records and materials. Assists Badge and ID with the documentation and issuance of badges. Compiles, maintains, and monitors statistical reports in support of departmental programs. Performs other security and administrative duties as assigned.

Typical responsibilities include:
85% Supports Facility Security Officer and Manager Security by acting as primary focal for all aspects of unclassified visitor control. Duties may also include performing a variety of paraprofessional duties to include administering various security programs; compiling, maintaining, and monitoring statistical reports. in support of the Security department. Assists Badge and ID with the documentation and issuance of badges. 5% Assists with classified material control, personnel security clearances and visitor/access control for Special Access Program. Monitors security controls and procedures for documents, hardware and areas as defined and required by the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual. 5%Compiles and records data for weekly, monthly and annual security audits. 5%Performs duties as assigned.

Hiring Manager will be visiting the Canoga Park facility August 26th & 27th. It would be ideal if he could interview candidates there on those days

REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a High School education or equivalent and 2-4 years of directly related security experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
