THIS JOB OCCASSIONALLY REQUIRES THE DISPATCHER TO FLEX THEIR SCHEDULE TO SUPPORT FLIGHT OPERATIONS

Full Time Contract position

Communicates with engineers, flight crews and others to seek, identify and track specific flight requirements. Creates and adjusts flight plans. Coordinates, acquires and ensures delivery of complex assets (airspace, test equipment, fuel, use of airports), arranges for complex flight operations (scheduled test flight). Participates in pre-mishap planning, training and practice alerts. Gathers information related to safety of flight and prepares and delivers a briefing to the flight crew. Acquires, distributes and interprets a wide variety of publications required to ensure safe flight and to comply with governmental regulations. Identifies any missing publications and acquires them. Job requires FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate. Works under general direction.

Independently communicates with engineers, flight crews and other involved personnel to seek, identify and track specific flight requirements (i.e., where flight will occur, clearances required, customs requirement, Transportation Security Administration, air traffic and airspace requirements, flight plans needs, weight and balance, etc.). Creates and adjusts flight plans, as needs/conditions change. Develops plans that meet all applicable FAA and international rules and regulations for developmental test aircraft, production flights and delivery aircraft, including domestic and international commercial and military aircraft. Provides flight following for aircraft in flight, as required.

JOB SKILLS: Flight Dispatcher license required.

Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
