JOB DUTIES: NDE Technician - Metals Level II:
Perform complex nondestructive evaluation and analysis of metallic parts and materials to ensure safety, reliability, and adherence to internal specifications. Perform inspections using Magnetic Particle (MT), Eddy Current (ET), and Fluorescent Penetrant (PT) methods. Generate test plans, identify flaws and detrimental conditions, determine root cause, and document results using internal systems. Propose, review, and validate revisions to written procedures and specifications. Support continuous improvement of products and processes by testing and evaluating proposed concepts and technology. Provide nondestructive testing knowledge, technical expertise and performance history to internal and external customers. Work under minimal direction.
JOB SKILLS: Candidates must be able to provide documentation of all experience hours in each method in advance. Past certification in all three methods (MT, ET, PT) is preferred, but strong candidates with two of the three methods will also be considered. Minimum certification level consisted will be Level II. Level IIIs are also encouraged to apply for a Level III position.
