JOB DUTIES: This work is for two positions: the performance of Information Assurance Officer duties and the performance of DIACAP Certification and Accreditation actions. There is overlap of both positions, and daily tasks may change based on customer need. Below is a general description of job duties.
Deploys and maintains computing and information security requirements, policies, standards, guidelines and procedures for a stakeholder organization or sub program with defined requirements. Advises on routine compliant information, security and data protection requirements. Determines acceptability of configurations and verifies security parameter placement. Investigates and resolves routine security questions. Performs security compliance monitoring.
Deploys and maintains computing and information security requirements, policies, standards, guidelines and procedures for a stakeholder organization or sub program with defined requirements. Identify capability risk/gaps and develop initial recommendations.
Analyzes security situations and environmental factors. Advises on routine compliant information, security and data protection requirements.
Analyzes and documents computing security events. Determines acceptability of configurations and verifies security parameter placement. Deploys risk mitigation processes and tools.
Investigates, analyzes and resolves routine security questions. Deploys incident response tools and assists with incident response teams.
JOB SKILLS: Experienced Windows and/or Unix platform administration and security skills required, including system auditing and reporting. Cisco networking security skills a plus. Familiarity with the DIACAP C&A process and creation/management of C&A artifacts required.
At a minimum, IAT Level II certification, defined in DoD 8570.01-M, required.
In addition, a technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
