JOB DUTIES: Knowledgeable and able to assemble, disassemble, rework, repair and modify aircraft composite assemblies, subassemblies, metallic and composite structures on aircraft systems with an emphasis on Composites, drilling and countersinking of Kevlar, fiberglass and carbon composites, installation of solid and blind fasteners into composite parts and sub-assemblies and bond prep and bonding of composite sub-assemblies. Follow manufacturing planning, blueprints, schematics, process specifications, and engineering sketches, written and oral instructions. Knowledgeable and able to assemble composite sub-assemblies using specialized tools and test equipment as well as various hand tools electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Knowledgeable and able to inspect assemblies, component parts, and airframe structures for nonconformance. Report discrepancies to manufacturing self-examination (MSE), corrective action (C/A), or manufacturing supervision. Knowledgeable and able to use computer systems for office and shop applications.
JOB SKILLS: This job requires a minimum of a high school education and 1 to 3 years of work related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
