Software Engineer

JOB DUTIES: Software Test engineer on Apache Longbow (AH-64D) software. Work in a dynamic, software development and test environment , making use of synchronous and asynchronous communications. Develop test scripts using Java and Eclipse Environment within the Company development environment. Responsible for the development and test of assigned requirements on UNIX Workstations and target hardware in the Software Test Environment (STE). Develop test scripts using Longbow Apache Software standards, processes, procedures, and tools. Interface with requirements developers, software developers and testers to resolve requirement/test issues. Participate in peer reviews. Verify that the product meets software requirements through inspection, demonstration, analysis and test.

REQUIRED: Extensive testing experience of real time systems on UNIX workstations and target hardware is required. Knowledge/experience with software development and testing tools(e.g.: editors, compilers, linkers, VxWorks RTOS) is a plus. Knowledge of higher level software languages such as C, Java and Ada. Experience Working as a member of IPT's is a plus.

DESIRED: Experience with different software testing techniques, knowledge of Validation and Verification differences.

EDUCATION: Requires BS in computer science or related engineering field. Typically persons in this position would possess at least 9 + years software engineering work experience.
