Position

Overview

Stress Liaison Engineer that develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design. Performs and documents structural analysis for airplane repairs resulting from non-conformances generated during production of the commercial aircraft Mid and Aft Body fuselage. Ensures that type design, technical standards, specifications and requirements are met. Coordinates with other engineering groups, primarily Liaison Engineering, to establish the product environment. Works with the Authorized Representative (AR) to assure adherence to regulatory requirements and methods. Assists in developing and documenting AR approved analysis approaches in preparation for rate readiness. Coordinates closely with Puget Sound Subject Matter Experts to ensure that discrepancy evaluation and repair processes are consistent across production sites. Employs Company structural analysis tools such as IAS, FEADMS, IDTAS, and similar to verify structural integrity. Familiarity with Finite Element Modeling and Analysis, ENOVIA, CATIA V5, Velocity, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis is required. Develops analytical processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the Material Review Board process. Identifies, manages, and responds to changes to SOW. Identifies correction actions to improve project or team performance. Works under minimal consultative direction.

JOB SKILLS: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Also --
