This contract assignment will have a 12 month duration; 6 months in Wichita, KS followed by 6 months in Kinston, NC.
Provide numerical control, machining, and programming technical expertise to cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams. Establish technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility. Plan, create, verify, and revise machine control data and documentation that directs the operations for numerically controlled machines and robots required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies. Plan and guide the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, and software.
Additional Duties and Qualifications Specific to Knowledge Transfer Activities:
Trainers will gain additional process knowledge by working in the manufacturing environment and will transfer that knowledge to others using on-the-job training and/or classroom training. Trainers will learn how to write job aids and training guides under the direction of a training manager. Trainers must have good reading, writing and verbal communication skills and be willing to instruct others. Prior on-the-job training or instruction experience is preferred. Will be using Catia v5. Highschool diploma or GED required.
Trainers will be required to reside and perform work duties in Wichita, Kansas and will transfer their assignment to NC Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. operations in Kinston, North Carolina, after an estimated time of 6-8 months. The training requirement will be met once initial workforce has been identified, hired, and trained to bring plant up to productivity.
In addition, each employee may be asked, on occasion, to complete other duties and responsibilities as required by Spirit leadership. Training and certification will be provided for the additional work when required.
