Network Security Focal

Provides customers with guidance, design requirements and assistance in meeting airplane network security guidance. Work with software and avionics engineers to provide detailed network security solutions on specific airplane models while staying involved with industry standards. Provides common solutions, manages schedule and resources while articulating risk to senior management.

JOB SKILLS: The individual must have experience with network security and ¿socializing¿ requirements. It is vital that this candidate have demonstrated and recognized organizational and leadership skills.
Must have: -Extensive experience with Network Security at the requirements and project management level -Manages, designs and allocates detailed network security requirements across multiple unique subsystems in order to create and manage a comprehensive design solutions -Understand industry network security ¿best practices¿ -Ability to deal with, manage and allocate ambiguous network security controls -Understand the risk analyses process -Understands the risk management process -Able to build a business case and communicate the trade-off between risk vs. functions/features in a network development environment -Functions well in a complex network and software development environment -Understanding or experience with mobile IP or ¿ad-hoc¿ network technology -Able to define and articulate security requirements in term of confidentiality, integrity and availability.
-Working knowledge of authentication and authorization as well as security logging and audit conceits Helpful but not required: -CISSP certification -PMP certification or experience -Exposure to NIST 800-30 and 800-53 -Experience with Airplane and/or avionics software development and implementation
