The Puget Sound Non-Destructive Evaluation Methods and Developments team is an Engineering Team responsible for supporting design, development, production programs, and In-Service. The team provides certification and qualification services across the value stream for Nondestructive Evaluation. The team works on commercial and defense aircraft including: 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, 787, KC-46, B1B, and P-8 as well as development programs such as SLS, CST-100, 777X, and MQ-25. The team also conducts research and development with internal stakeholders and external customers. This team spans the entire product life cycle from research and development to active airframe support and post-production test & evaluation.

Position Details:
• This position will be integrated with our RT Development Team. The successful candidate will have prior experience with Computed Tomography.
• Position Responsibilities
• Works independently (level of independence required determined by experience of the candidate) with the direction/mentorship of Principal/Senior Nondestructive Evaluation engineers to develop, certify, qualify, and implement Nondestructive Evaluation technologies across the enterprise
• Defines requirements and approves tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of products.
• Produces specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes.
• Maintains compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
• Promotes standardization across business activities. Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
• Develops and qualifies new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements.
• Integrates new technologies as appropriate.
• Manages test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
• Conducts analysis to characterize performance or determine reasons for failure of tools, materials, parts or processes.
• Implements corrective and preventive actions. Designs, develops and qualifies computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements.
• Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
• Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas.

Required Skills
• Experience with Computed Tomography is required for this position.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in the field of Nondestructive Test is required.

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
