Position Description:

**Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance**

Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans. Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.

In the role you will Plan and develop department/organization processes for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing installation plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration in an Installation/Assembly environment.

Contributes to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies. Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build. Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization. Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Resolves complex technical problems. Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained. Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities. Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods. Documents and communicates producibility best practices. Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
• Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
• Develops and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
• Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met.
• Develops tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
• Manages tools from initial design to end of use disposition. Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues.
• Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs.
• Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.
• Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
• Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.
Requirements:


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
• Currently have a 4 year engineering degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• 3+ years of experience in an manufacturing or aerospace engineering environment.
• Experience with following the Engineering Bills of Material (BOMs) Configuration Management Process.
• 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering Planning systems such as Product Data Manager (PDM), SAP, GOLDesp, MESci, or Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Prior Manufacturing Engineering and Planning experience
• At least 5 years’ experience involving direct planning or installation activity associated to assembly or manufacturing
• Strong communication skills & ability to work in dynamic development environment
• Ability to work fairly independently within a team environment
• F/A-18, 737NG, or 767 platform experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+2 years' related work experience, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
