Position Description

The Industrial Engineering team within the Client is seeking Industrial Engineers to join our growing team located in either Everett, Renton, Seattle, Auburn, or Puyallup, Washington, USA.

Position Overview:
Our Industrial Engineer contractors will focus on production stability, implementing lean methodologies, assessing and performing to rate readiness requirements, as well as improving quality through root cause analysis. Candidates will be engaging with all manufacturing, engineering, and production-supporting organizations and should be a self-starter as well as a collaborative team player. Our business units allow you to learn all aspects of the Aerospace Manufacturing world from supply chain production readiness through fabrication of raw materials, assembly and installation, and supporting deliveries to our customers around the world.

Applies industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements of moderate complexity.
Designs, develops, analyzes, tests, evaluates and implements processes and technology insertions by applying industrial engineering techniques and concepts to optimize production system design, operational efficiency and after-market services.
Monitors performance, supports production and systems to meet operational and functional requirements.
Translates engineering, systems, and mathematical concepts to practical applications throughout the product life cycle.
Researches emerging technologies and develops industrial engineering tools and processes.
Ensures compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.
Supports the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
Develops moderately complex models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders.
Assists with research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
Leads metrics, data analysis, and improvement plans, related to our team’s productivity, efficiency and first-time quality; including Lean+ events, 5S improvement plans, and/or special initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Shift:
- This position is to support 1st shift (start times dependent on organization), with some collaboration possible between 2nd and 3rd shift.

100% Onsite at one of these locations: Everett, WA; Seattle, WA; Renton, WA; Auburn, WA; or Puyallup, WA.

Describe the project/day-to-day activities they will be working on:
• We are looking to place candidates on daily tasks associated with scheduling, daily shop floor management removing roadblocks with multiple support organizations, process improvements, developing/updating recovery plans, analyzing traveled work to reduce reoccurrence and to improve do-what’s-due.
• Depending on specific experience, candidates may also be utilized for developing and executing plans for rate readiness activities, resource utilization and crew cycling optimization, operations planning, and more.

Requirements

Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2): Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
