Position Description:
**Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. US Citizenship Required.**
Job Details:
The QF-16 team is responsible for the design and installation of Drone Peculiar Equipment (DPE) to convert retired USAF F-16's into Full Scale Aerial Targets. This role leads all wire harness design activities from schematic wire diagram definition through cable/harness definition. This position supports fielded aircraft as well as two active production lines. The candidate will apply their electrical design background to troubleshoot issues with fielded aircraft, provide technical guidance to supplier management, and provide design support to the production lines. The primary role for this position is to develop the QF-16 electrical design baseline in accordance with new business opportunities.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
Primary responsibilities:
•Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
•Analyzes results and performs design reviews.
•Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas).
•Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, and shop revision requests).
•Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
•Develops basic statements of work.
•Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
•Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.

Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
•This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
•10+ years of experience designing the fabrication of wire harness/cables.
•5+ years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Familiarity with TeamCenter Engineering.
•Ability to interrogate models in Unigraphics (NX).
•Experience communicating with customers and suppliers.
•Experience with aircraft modification design.
