Position Description: The Company Research and Technology (BR&T) organization is seeking highly motivated entry-level composite manufacturing technicians to join the Next Generation Composite Materials team in Saint Louis, MO. As a part of this team, you will be involved in supporting various R&D programs, where you will have the opportunity to fabricate, cure, machine, and conduct testing to qualify new composite materials and processes. This position will be hands on and require the ability to operate various industrial composite fabrication equipment and work in a lab with typical laboratory weights, chemicals, and noises. In general, the candidate should be capable of the following: Participates in the evaluation and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, technology, and processes to ensure that conformance and producibility requirements are met. Supports continuous improvement efforts by assisting with the design, fabrication and testing of new concepts and technology. Assists in developing and revising documents and technical requirements. Works well under close supervision.

Requirements: AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience related to layup and fabrication of carbon fiber reinforced thermosetting composite (CFRP) material systems is required. Experience with CFRP fabrication equipment including autoclave and oven operation, CNC mill operation, automated fiber placement equipment, and mechanical testing would be ideal.
