Electrical Designer 4

Position Description:

The candidate will be part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary engineering team, responsible for the design and technical support for experimental systems rigs. Your mandate will be to design, test and take all the appropriate actions to resolve the various technical issues preventing test execution

In your role, you will:
• Interpret the technical specifications for test requirements and instrumentation,
• Lead technical troubleshooting analysis to find problems root cause and potential solutions.
• Validate and get approval of the technical solution with the appropriate authorities.
• Answer engineering request for change and non conformance report from quality department.
• Prepare and/or revise electrical engineering documentation (wiring diagrams, systems definition drawing and harness specifications)
• Participate in coordination meetings and be responsible for actions identified in these meetings.
• Responsible for the functional operation of the Electrical Support (ANDON) team.
• Propose innovative industrial solutions to resolve design challenges.
• Communicate any major issues or roadblocks to the other Engineering functions.
Requirements:


Key Skills required:
- Comissioning and startup experience
- Need to have experience in industrial controls/PLC ( Programming Logic Controler)
- Ability to understand Schematic and documentation

As our ideal candidate,
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering with 8-10 years or more experience in design and support;
• You have excellent understanding of electrical control systems;
• You have experience and understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition systems; Industrial Controls design and installation experience, including Programmable Logic Controllers, relay logic, electric motors;
• You have strong problem resolution skills with demonstrated structured thinking ability;
• You have good understanding of aircraft systems operation and experience related to testing and experimental engineering a desired asset;
• You have availabilities to work during evening and/or week-end shifts, if required.
• You have initiative, leadership, a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, as well as an excellent practical and technical judgment.
• You have experience and knowledge of aerospace electrical engineering, such as aircraft avionic systems, aircraft databus, as well as ground test data question system and instrumentation are desirable.
• You have written & verbal skills in French and English.
