Position Description

**Start ASAP - 90 day assignment - possible extension**

Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and analyzes technical data for engineering and scientific research, design, development, test, evaluation, implementation, and support of products, services, and processes. Applies specialized knowledge and judgment with prescribed methods and develops and maintains various analytical tools in order to understand behavior of products, services, and processes. Compares product capabilities and performance to requirements. Documents findings in reports and data, such as specifications, drawings, manuals, test procedures, and standards. Interfaces with management, engineers and scientists, process owners, team members, marketing and sales, customers, and suppliers to provide schedule and project status, and ensure that requirements for analytical data are fulfilled. Apply knowledge of materials science, chemistry, metallurgy, and electricity/electronics in order to investigate and analyze materials, product design, and manufacturing problems. Ability to determine feasibility of manufacturing processes and appropriateness of materials, standard parts, components, and systems; fabricate experimental test parts and prototype equipment; prepare test specimens, conduct acceptance tests and analyses; and test manufacturing processes, materials, components, or system technology. Ability to ensure that products comply with governmental regulations; company policies, procedures, and specifications; and engineering requirements. Ability to ensure identification, development, and implementation of advanced technologies (e.g., electronics, materials, laboratory and technical resources, etc.).

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor Degree preferred

Possesses ability to utilize measurement equipment, i.e. laser tracker, romer arms, photogrammetry cameras, etc., to collect data; conduct data analysis; and assess engineering or tooling requirements relative to hardware measurement. Provide technical knowledge to projects requiring key dimensional measurement analyst competencies to increase the efficiency of manufacturing processes. Participate in and perform periodic tooling inspection checks and/or dimensional measurement using laser tracker systems, romer arm systems or photogrammetry cameras and perform dimensional measurement analysis utilizing Spatial Analyzer (SA) and CATIA software.



Skills & Qualifications
• Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes and materials used in production and tooling applications.
• Requires an excellent working knowledge of CATIA (V5 preferred) and/or related software applications.
• Proficient in the use and operation of laser tracker equipment (Leica preferred) with ability to use dimensional analysis scripting utilizing Spatial Analyzer (SA) graphic software.
• Ability to initiate, perform and document corrective action root cause analysis to correct, improve, adapt, maintain, and/or replace process.
• Use and/or interpret simple to complex engineering/tooling drawings and models, sketches, verbal information, production parts, digital data and various handbooks.
