Position Description

The Company Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) National Team Program is looking for a Network Engineer to join the team in Colorado Springs, CO to support the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).
The Company Missile Defense Programs support the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) mission to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight. This position requires candidate acceptance by industry partner resource control board.
Position Responsibilities:
• In this role the candidate will support the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure.
• This role is responsible for ensuring reliable connectivity across LAN/WAN environments while collaborating with senior engineers on network design and optimization.
• The ideal candidate brings strong networking fundamentals and a hands-on approach to supporting production environments.
• Configure and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls from vendors such as Cisco and Juniper Networks.
• Monitor network performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving connectivity, latency, and packet loss issues.Implement and support core networking technologies including VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and basic network security controls.
• Troubleshoot network incidents across LAN/WAN environments, performing root cause analysis and documenting resolutions.Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support network changes, upgrades, and infrastructure projects.
• Candidate will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.
• The candidate may be required to support critical activities outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Any other required tasks by the program.
