Position Description

The Company is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to support BT&E Wire Shops, Systems and Test Labs in Seattle, or Tukwila, Washington. Manufacturing Engineers are owners of the build plan and ensure compliance to design configuration, build plan, and process requirements, Manufacturing Engineering performs Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis and develops an integrated build plan consisting of work instructions for assembly/fabrication, kitting, tooling, inspection requirements, and other outputs to endure fabrication meets design, test, and program requirements.A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. We need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
• Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies
• Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines
• Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build
• Leads and implements manufacturing plans
• Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements
• Leads in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices
• Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions
• Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule
• Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts
• Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies

Requirements

Required Skills:
• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree required from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry is required.
• Knowledge with electrical/mechanical manufacturing process and assembly sequencing
• Prior experience working on client Manufacturing System
• Experience with using manufacturing tools (PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, GOLDesp)

Preferred Skills:
• 3 + years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment
• 3 + years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
• 3 + years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role
• Experience with space or military electronics
• Experience in Project management
• Experience in Work Package Estimating

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
