Position Description

**Secret Clearance Required to Start.**

The Company Defense, Space, and Security, Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) division, is seeking a GPS IMOSC Systems Administrator (Level 2/3). This position will support the Global Positioning System (GPS) sustainment program located at Schriever Space Force Base about 10 miles east of Colorado Springs. GPS is a satellite-based radio-navigation system owned by the United States government and operated by the United States Space Force. GPS is the world's largest military satellite constellation and is the world's only global utility. GPS provides position, navigation, and timing data to military and civilian users globally with countless applications and an unlimited number of users. Company has over 30 year’s history in GPS to include achieving full system capability in 1995. The current Company team supports the US Space Force by sustaining and monitoring the health and capabilities of the 12 GPS Block IIF satellites in the GPS constellation launched from 2010 to 2016. The Company GPS sustainment team also provides support to its US Space Force customer with reports and expertise on all aspects of the GPS system. Sustainment efforts will continue through the life of the Block IIF satellites, with a design life expectancy of 2031 and beyond. The program is currently operating under a 10-year sustainment contract, from 2022 to 2031.

The GPS IMOSC Systems Administrator will be a part of a high-performing team that are immersed in high intensity projects. As a member of our team, you will perform system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture. This role will provide problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems. This position will support the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems. This role will monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning. Our Administers uses system access and works to protect information to meet security requirements.

Position Responsibilities:
• Perform System Administrator functions for Windows platform within a medium-sized enterprise domain architecture.
• Knowledge of Red Hat Linux security hardening and automation ideal.
• Perform system integration, hardware and software installation alongside cyber solution requirement implementation to include LAN/networking monitoring and maintenance.
• Install configure, maintain, and disposition of virtual machines, hardware/software in support of full system lifecycle and its architecture.
• Install, configure and maintain multi-platform systems' hardware, software and components.
• Plan, develop, design, integrate and maintain all systems and computer components to include but not limited to database, networking equipment, applications, including specialized applications specific to the program’s objectives.
• Plan, coordinate, execute highly complex software and hardware for enterprise release in consideration of security requirement compliance and configuration management.
• Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives and mission requirements.
• Evaluate complex system's production readiness and supportability.
• Perform backup and restoration of complex computing service operations.
• Perform, manage, and administer service/software deployments, group policies, and system patching.
• Perform complex system problem identification and resolution.
• Integrate cybersecurity solutions into information systems and its processes.
• Monitor system performance and activities in support of capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning, mission operations, and cybersecurity posturing.
• Perform system and security administrator functions to support real-time satellite operations when required.
• Perform/assists in administrative tasks in relation to the system such as technical writing, system documentation, cybersecurity and configuration management audits.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study.
• Active U.S. security clearance; secret or above.
• Current Security+ certification
• Systems Administration experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Networking/Cisco IOS experience is preferred for this position
• Experience performing the restoration of complex computing service operations
• Experience performing complex system problem identification and resolution
• Experience integrating cybersecurity solutions into information systems and its processes
• Experience in LAN and database configuration, management, and maintenance
• Experience in cybersecurity scanning, monitoring, and analysis
• Experience with Splunk Security tools

Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification. Required: Bachelor or Master degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering
