Position Description

Duties: Under minimal direction the Specialist, Affordability is responsible for solving complex diverse/problems that require the regular use of creativity and innovation.

Facilitate process improvement events at Site, COE and Program levels (eg Value Stream Mapping events, 3P's, Cellular Design, RCA-Mistake Proofing, and miscellaneous Kaizen events, Facility Layouts) Train and coach employees, teams, and organizations in the use of continuous improvement operating system tools, processes, and methodology. Support the company's CIP (Competitive Improvement Program), facilitating the optimization/consolidation of site product lines, and Strategic Planning. Conduct facility, equipment, and manpower capacity studies; and accurately report through written and oral communications

Skills: Required: experience in leadership positions related to Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma). Must have at least ten years of Lean Practitioner proficiency, facilitating Lean events (VSMs, 3Ps, Standard Work development, other Kaizen activities). Requires minimum of 10 years utilizing the Toyota Production System (TPS) or other Lean Methodologies with emphasis on 3P.

Requirements

Candidate must be local or willing to relocate to Camden, this will be a long term position with the intent to hire.

Education: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and ten (10) years experience in a directly related field or and equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Engineering discipline, Business Management, Operations Management, a Manufacturing discipline that includes Lean/Six Sigma in the curriculum (eg Industrial Engineering), or a degree in a related field that encompasses Quality and/or Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma training.
Preferred to be certified to a recognized level of C.I. proficiency (ie LSS Black Belt) that includes advanced Lean/six sigma tool comprehension and practical facilitation of moderately complex to complex projects/events.
