Position Description
*Position will be relocating to Mirabel*
In this role, you will:
- Prepare Reliability Progress Report and other reliability/robustness deliverables for the program.
- Coordinate and support program reliability & robustness testing.
- Support review of supplier deliverables such as the Reliability Validation Report(s), Reliability Demonstration Plan(s).., etc.
- Provide Reliability Expertise/Guidance (tools, methods, statistics, etc) for the CSeries aircraft program.
- Support analysis of system architectures and their integration within the aircraft, failure detection and system monitors accommodation schemes.
- Support design activities to assure that all reliability requirements are implemented in the aircraft system design, development and testing phases.
- Do statistical analysis specifically associated with Reliability Engineering (Life Data analysis including Weibull Analysis), RDGT Methodologies.
- Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis using FRACAS and field data to propose product enhancements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years of Pertinent Experience
- You possess a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Software or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. You have at least eight (8) years of related experience, desirably in the field of safety. You must have sound knowledge of aircraft systems, and be familiar with certification requirements and guidance material such as FARs, AC 25.1309, ARP (Aerospace Recommended Practices) 4754 and 4761 (safety), etc. You must be familiar with reliability & safety processes and tools (e.g. FTA, FMEA, etc.).You must have strong analytical skills, be familiar with statistics, and have proven effective technical writing skills.
- You must be a team player with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, and good judgment. Good communication skills in English are essential for the position. Familiarity with Microsoft (MS) applications is required: MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.A resourceful problem solver comfortable with providing solutions, not just further data gathering.
Must have Aircraft Level Knowledge of the following:
In-depth aircraft level understanding FMEA - Failure mode and effects analysis
FTA - Faultry Analysis, CMA - Common Load Assessment
CCMR Process - Candidate Certification Maintenance requirement

RT4761 Safety process
Software Skills:
CAFTA required
Must be proficient with Excel
MS Access database development would be asset
Microsoft Office Suite
Visual basic would be an asset
