Position Description

**Must be able to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.**

70%: Provide Quality Engineering and Level 3 NDT Engineering support for Level 2 NDT Inspector evaluation of metal/ composite aerospace products. This includes, but is not limited to:
1) Support Level 2 NDT inspectors performing existing inspections on current production hardware and document potential discrepancies
2) Developing/ applying NDT Techniques, Procedures to inspect new product/ test hardware
3) Complete Level 3 NDT engineer verification that inspections meet contractually requirements.
4) Mentor and Train all Levels of NDT personnel in RT, UT, ET, PT knowledge, specifications and practices
5) Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions and process improvement activities

30%: Apply knowledge of Quality engineering methodologies and application of NDT Methods for input to design reviews, failure analysis, quality program plans, and manufacturing documentation. Support the implementation and qualification of new Digital radiographic process and maintaining activities associated with meeting NADCAP certification requirements

Travel: 20% of the time

Knowledge of Film/Digital Radiography is a must. Knowledge of Computed Radiography, Real-time Radiography, Ultrasonic equipment (contact and immersion), Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, Infrared, and Magnetic Particle equipment is desirable

EQUIPMENT USED: Low and High Energy x-ray systems. Computed Tomography, , Real-time Radiography, and knowledge is desirable.
Qualified and able to pass Level III Examinations in UT, MT, ET, LT, RT, PT, (ASNT Certification Desired)

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must have previously held Level 3 certification in Radiographic Method meeting Mil-Std-410 or AIA NAS-410 requirements. Other methods (UT, PT, MT, or ET) qualifications are desirable. May be required to work non-day shift hours.

BS degree in related field and five (5) years of related technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
