Position Description

JOB DUTIES:
Database administrator and Project Management/MS Project "guru" to support 787-9 Airplane Energy Management Lab. Database admin responsibilities include:
Upgrade the database server and application tools as needed.
Create tables, views, indexes
Allocate system storage and plan for future storage requirements.
Maintain system security.
Ensure compliance with the vendor's license agreements.
Control and monitor user access to the database.
Backup database information.
Plan for recovery of database information.
Be the point-of-contact with the database vendor for any technical support.
Generate reports (automating the process or through queries from the database). Update report formats/contents dependent upon end-user needs.
Modify database structure to support future requirements.

The position is also a part-time split of responsibilities to include providing project management support to the 787-9 AEM lab, as well as across the systems labs organization, as needed.

JOB SKILLS: Advanced Database admin technical skills & experience, expert MS Project skills, experience providing project management support for large, complex projects. Experience working with engineers, lab or airplane test environment, a desire to be a part of an airplane lab test program team.
