Mechanical Systems Design Engineer

JOB DUTIES: Assist team leader and design team by executing engineering and technical design tasks.
Coordinate technical tasks and develop, change and modify CATIA v5 MBDs, ARMs, IRMs, and Enovia /PDM.
Have experience conducting IVT sessions and other functions within Catha v5 & Enovia tools effectively.
Work exclusively in Catia v5 and Enovia. Absolutely must have knowledge of and extensive experience with Catia v5 and Enovia and its tool suite. NO EXCEPTIONS.

As part of the team work with designers, engineers and stress analysis teams to develop design concepts, mechanical components, system layouts and have experience with structures with composite/metallic components, tooling structure, testing fixtures and with structural test.
Ensure 1st time quality is performed on all detail designs, sub-system/commodities and system level designs.
Be part of a team that will report daily to the team leader, management, BCA customer, and weekly to Engineering Enterprise Support management on progress made and status to technical assignments and work packages.
Work under minimal direction and performs all tasks professionally.
Have a good understand and prior experience on large fixed wing aircraft. Highly preferred to have prior Company Commercial experience. Be able and willing to work in a very dynamic environment where change occurs daily.
Be willing to travel 10 to 30% of the time.

JOB SKILLS: Must have prior experience and skill with CATIA v5, Enovia and be able to work proficient with the CAD/CAM/PDM tools listed.
Must have prior work experience that demonstrated capability as a team member with documented contribution to the team or project within the area of Mechanical Systems design and Mech Systems layout and integration.
Must have and be able to work with structures as a secondary skill in the area of composites & metallic.
Have and be able to provide the team with creative thinking, problem solving ability and risk-taking directed toward continuous improvement. Be a team player and volunteers to help solve difficult problems with other team members.
Have prior experience with structure, composite and interior system design and requirements to establish the component and/or overall system design.

Other skills and duties to perform are; Communication -writing, verbal, listening, and presentation skills. Effectively communicates up and down the leadership/management line.

Qualifications; Degree and typical experience in engineering classification:

Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience.
Bachelor, and/or Master of Science technical degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering/technology from an ABET credited university.

Only candidates considered absolute must have experience with CATIA v5 and Enovia. Highly desirable prior Company BCA experience.
