Structural and Payload Design Engineer

JOB DUTIES:
"Assist team leader and design team by executing engineering and technical design tasks. Coordinate technical tasks and develop, change and modify CATIA v5 MBDs, IRMs, and ERMs. Have experience conducting IVT sessions and other functions within Catia v5 & Enovia effectively. Work exclusively in Catia v5 and Enovia. Absolutely must have knowledge of and extensive experience with Catia v5 and Enovia and its tool suite. NO EXCEPTIONS.

As part of the team work with designers, engineers and stress team to develop design concepts, structural components, layouts and have experience with composite components, tooling structure, testing fixtures and with structural test. Experience with composite & metallic components. Understand and have experience with testing and tooling concepts regarding the design development, and documentation of composite components, tooling structure and testing fixtures as well. Ensure 1st time quality is performed on all detail designs, sub-system/commodities and system level designs. Be part of a team that will report daily to the Mesa site management, customer, team leader and weekly to Engineering Enterprise management on progress made and status to technical assignments and work packages.

Work under minimal direction and performs all tasks professionally. Have a good understand and prior experience on large fixed wing aircraft. Highly preferred to have prior company experience. Be able and willing to work in a very dynamic environment where


JOB SKILLS:
"Must have prior experience with CATIA v5, Enovia and with its multiple functions. Demonstrated team member with documented contribution to the team or project; Proven experience in structures, composites with an understanding of mechanical systems and testing as a secondary skill. Creative thinking, problem solving, and risk-taking directed toward continuous improvement. Volunteers to help solve difficult problems Experience with structure, composite and interior system requirements to establish the system design.

Other skills; Communication -writing, verbal, listening, and presentation skills. Effectively communicates up and down the line. Produces and/or conveys clear, concise, and accurate verbal and written communication.

Qualifications; Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, from an ABET credited university.
