Overview

****You will be required to purchase three uniforms at an estimated total price of $150-$265. The cost will vary depending on your size and the amount will be deducted from your paycheck in two installments.****

thin-wall aluminum experience and building assemblies with tight tolerance preferred

Will need to work any shift assigned

Position Purpose: The Sheetmetal Welder performs a variety of metal joining processes and basic sheetmetal tasks in support of the appropriate department.

Essential Functions:
1. Fabricate and install interior components as directed by Shop Supervisor or project Lead.
2. Remove, refurbish, modify and reinstall interior components as directed.
3. Fabricate aircraft components as requested by appropriate department technicians or external customers.
4. Research materials and processes as required insuring compliance with pertinent ANSI, AWS, FAA, Company and/or Aircraft Manufacturer standards.
5. Correctly complete required internal and FAA paperwork.
6. Correctly use power and hand tools to cut, form, and otherwise prepare pieces for welding.
7. Make effective use of the existing systems to enter labor against Work Orders, create picklists, purchase requisitions, review Work Orders, add items to Work Orders, and to sign off Work Orders.

Additional Functions:
1. Keep shop and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered.
2. Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned by Supervisor.
3. Comply with safety rules and procedures.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED. Must be familiar with the guidelines set forth by the ANSI, AWS, and other pertinent process specifications. Basic math skills required.

Two years welding or related experience. Knowledge of metallurgy, metal working procedures, and welding processes/technology with regard to aircraft applications.

Tig, Mig, and Plasma welding specifically required
Plasma Cutter operation experience a plus
Some additional light manufacturing / conventional machining experience a plus
CNC experience a plus but not required

Expansion req for ramp up of RDC III IB and ITF builds
12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
