JOB DUTIES: 1. Analyze and develop changes to VTT to support the new requirements resulting from the move from the Kent Data Center to the new data and application servers in Bellevue and Phoenix. Known work includes taking responsibility for migrating an enterprise web application (dev, test, and prod) to new data center: Migrating SQL 2000 DB to SQL 2008 R2, Migrating and testing Classic ASP web application on new servers, Ensuring nightly data feeds are setup and function properly in new environments, Ensuring XML/Https web services are setup and function properly in new environments, Coordinating and testing with other Company-related parties (HubSpan, DBA¿s, Web Server Admin, testers, etc), and Updating any related documentation for the application.
2. Analyze and develop changes to VTT to support elevated computing security requirements. VTT was scanned, which resulted in concerns about Cross-Site Scripting and SQL Injection. Scan results need to be analyzed and mitigated. Follow-up scan is recommended to ensure results.
JOB SKILLS: Classic ASP (experience mitigating security vulnerabilities such as cross-site scripting helpful)
ASP.NET (C#)
SQL 2000 / SQL 2005 upgrade to SQL 2008 R2
XML / HTTPS Web Services
Experience with testing jobs that call stored procedures and linked servers
Experience with applications on a reverse proxy
Experience with DTS and conversion to SSIS
4+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
