JOB DUTIES:
Performs analysis for fluid flow, pressure fluctuations, fluid quantities, etc. for fuel system applications in commercial aircraft.
Able to develop Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs) and/or System Safety Analyses (SSAs).
Uses various testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance.
Defines and performs certification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components.
Supports fielded systems to assure continued reliability.
Works under general direction.
JOB SKILLS:
Background desired is a familiarity with primarily fluids (fuel and air) and fluid systems.
Bachelor of Science in mechanical, chemical or civil engineering degrees required as a minimum.
Tools desired: CATIA V4, CATIA V5, ENOVIA, PDM, REDARS, IVT, Flowmaster, MATLAB, SysML, FORTRAN, CFD, Fluent, Thermal Desktop, Microsoft - Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, Fuels Models - P178, P187, P392, 497, 442.
