Structural Analysis Engineer

JOB DUTIES:
Commercial airplane propulsion structures engineering analysis position. Perform structural analysis of primary and secondary propulsion structure and systems.

Independently develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with solutions that are imaginative, thorough, and practical and consistent with organization objectives.

Work will be performed under general direction and reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.

Ensure that structure meets all applicable regulatory requirements and Company design criteria.

JOB SKILLS:
REQUIRES B.S. OR M.S. DEGREE IN ENGINEERING (MECHANICAL, CIVIL OR AERONAUTICAL/AEROSPACE PREFERRED) AND TYPICALLY A MINIMUM OF 8 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN AN ENGINEERING CLASSIFICATION.

Prior Company experience preferred;

Experience analyzing propulsion structural components required.

Knowledge of or experience with composite structure is preferred.

Candidate must show evidence they are capable of performing detail stress analysis using BCA approved structures workstation tools and allowables.

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE propulsion structures engineering experience with any or all of the following commodities: nacelle structure (including inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers), engine exhaust, engine mounts, pylon/strut, etc.).

Good teaming and communication skills required.

Strong mechanical aptitude is desired.

Strong communication skills and proficiency with standard PC desktop applications is required.

OTHER JOB RELATED INFORMATION:
Previous Company experience preferred. U.S. Person status required with ability to start assignment within four to six weeks.

This requisition supports staffing requirements for several existing and developmental airplane programs in Washington State.
