Part Time: 32 Hours per week

JOB DUTIES: Experienced glass or composite materials engineer with a related BS or higher degree is needed to support Company Research & Technologies' (BR&T) Next Generation Composite Materials organization. BR&T is the central research and development organization supporting Company's Commercial Airplanes and Defense Systems business units. Duties include supporting development of an emerging composite technology by leading and executing materials research and communicating results.

JOB SKILLS: Knowledge of composite material systems required. Knowledge of glass chemistry, glass processing and glass fiber drawing is highly desired. Knowledge of nanotechnology is highly desired. Hands-on experience working in lab environments is required. Ability to work effectively both alone and on teams required. Ability to rapidly prototype concepts is desired. Past experience developing materials is desired. Ability to efficiently assimilate knowledge from external literature. Education - Bachelors degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry with 5 or more years' related experience.
