Work with a vigorous and dynamic organization to perform developmental and certification flight testing of various commercial aircraft platforms and military derivatives. As a member of Flight Test Engineering Operations, you will be a member of the test engineering team responsible for all aspects of the airplane test process and coordination of airplane test readiness, including: coordination of test planning, instrumentation, data acquisition, airplane test configuration, airplane scheduling, test scheduling and planning, test sequencing, the ability to assess test impact of discrepant systems/structure and authorizing associated repairs, planning and authorizing airplane configuration changes, flying as either the weights engineer and crew safety officer, or in-flight test conductor (leading the entire test crew including pilots, engineers and test participants), in-flight test data acquisition post-test data validation, and test reporting to support design engineering and FAA/EASA certification of the airplane and all airplane systems (Aero, Stability & Control, Propulsion, Mechanical & Electrical, Avionics, Structures). Must be able to react to last minute schedule changes and coordinate activities to meet emergent requirements and work in a demanding fast-paced environment. Subject engineer should have a strong knowledge of Vehicle Testing, and be willing to learn the specific systems associated with the test airplane.
Requires educational credentials meeting the classification standards for engineers. BSAE, BSME, BSEE preferred . Flying or pilot experience preferred.
