Position

Overview

Develops, maintains and modifies Rotor Wing Structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tool, Unigraphics NX5 and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Define, maintain, and release engineering product data in electronic data sets or drawings to include layouts, three-dimensional models, engineering drawings, and parts lists. Investigate design factors such as ease of manufacturing, interchangeability, producibility, strength-weight efficiency, contractual specifications, and cost to develop engineering designs. Works under minimal direction.

JOB SKILLS: Use independent, creative thinking and resourcefulness to develop technical solutions to complex problems and identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies. Independently determine and develop approach to solutions. Must be familiar with Rotor Wing Structural Platforms, Apache and or AH-6. Education Minimum: Associates Degree from ABET accredited institution and requisite year¿s experience. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills required, must have Unigraphic NX5 skill set. Work within Team Center (TcE) Product Data Management (PDM).
12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
