Position

Overview

CATIA V5 Airframe Structures Design Engineer supporting Boeing Chinook Rotorcraft Programs. Developing engineering product definition meeting engineering & mfg requirements for deliverables such as mechanical structural metallic & composite components, assembly and installations. Create 3D product datasets in CATIA V5 for component, assembly and installations from concept layout through release. Apply knowledge of mechanical & structural design techniques: 3D solid modeling, MBD model-based definition, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing; company, industry, and national drawing & design standards; mathematics, configuration control, design check & release methods; and mfg processes & procedures in order to develop mechanical/structural product definition. Ability to define activities in the development of aerospace products, analyze and resolve problems, improve products & producibility & apply spatial visualization skills.

JOB SKILLS: Must have a very good working knowledge and experience in CATIA V5, Teamcenter PDM system and VISMOCKUP visualization tools. BS Degree in Engineering preferred with at least 7 or more years of aerospace structures design experience.
9+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
