Evaluates parts, materials, processes, technology or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications. Analyzes failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures. Generates test plans, identifies and categorizes failures, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations. Proposes, develops and validates revisions to procedures and specifications. Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes. Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes and coordinates resolution of issues with suppliers and customers. Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by designing, developing, fabricating, testing, evaluating and implementing new concepts and technology. Provides knowledge and technical consultation to internal and external customers.

What you'll need
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Parts, Materials and Processes related to Electrical, Electronic, Electro-mechanical, Electro-optical commodities.
- Knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies and the ability to solve problems.
- Knowledge of industry, military and government specifications, handbooks and standards.
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting
- Experience in Aerospace industry
- Experience with shipside support
- Experience with electrical wiring drawings
- Experience with ENOVIA and CATIA (reading/navigating, design experience not required)
- Experience with wire installation
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc
