JOB DUTIES: Structural design of Commercial and Military aerospace products followed by release of model based definition (MBD) packages for documentation.
Expectations: Develops, integrates and documents structural parts to establish the airframe structure. Coordinates with the other engineering groups to establish the product¿s requirements. Guides product design and verifies form, fit and function by using design tools. Supports in-service products by investigating interferences and provide improvements. Works under general direction.
Advanced Expectations: Leads development, integration and documentation of structural designs to establish the airframe structure. Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's requirements. Guides product design and verifies form, fit and function by using and developing design methods, and other design tools.
JOB SKILLS: Requires background in the following design tools: CATIA V5, ENOVIA and IVT.
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor¿s and 9 or more years experience, Master's with 7 or more years experience or PHD with 4 or more years experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
