Production Coordinator

Processes and moves production hardware and other materials into and out of Awaiting Parts locker, production and other site locations. Perform tasks including materials handling, receiving, inspecting, inventory control, expediting, material tracking, and inputting requirements into customer database. Ability to analyze problems and provide supply-related solutions. Responsible for the management of consumables, to include parts research, preparation of Request for Procurement and the procurement of consumables. Ships, receives, stores and moves materials using motorized and manual materials handling equipment and hand tools.

JOB SKILLS: Be proficient in the operation of motorized and manual materials handling equipment to include forklift operation. Excellent computer usage skills. Must be proficient in microsoft excel and word. Customer oriented and excellent communication skills. Must have a thorough knowledge of government owned hardware, Hazardous Material requirements, proper protection of Electro-Static devices and ability to lift 35-65 lbs. Must have thorough knowledge of the Military Standard Requisitioning procedures, knowledge of the relationships between part numbers and national stock numbers, 3 level maintenance concept and Foreign Military Supply procedures. Good understanding of NAVICP and DLA computer based systems. Must have a thorough knowledge of inventory control procedures for government owned hardware. Prefer 2 or more years production management training and 2 years experience in disciplines related to production control. Must understand how Awaiting Parts Procedures (AWP) work. Prefer a minimum of 4 years Navy Supply experience. Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance.
