Bomb bay camera mod on B-52H series aircraft and GB Trainers. Removal of existing hardware and installation of new hardware on the fuselage to fix fit-up problems with the side blister radomes. This will consist of removal of the side radome and the aft fairing (directly behind the side radome) from the aircraft. Candiates will unpack, disassemble, install and assemble new radomes.
Requirements: The Electronics Technician applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers‘ manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. B-52 aircraft experience is preferred, and an active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain an interim clearance is required.
12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
