JOB DUTIES: Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools. Perform structural analysis to support the development of aircraft and space related structures by applying knowledge of advanced structures analysis (e.g., modeling, static, fatigue, damage tolerance, etc.) and materials to determine structural performance.
JOB SKILLS: Ability to perform stress, fracture, and fatigue analyses of aircraft or space vehicle structures and components. Ability to develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort and to work under minimal direction.. Experience with analysis tools such as FEMAP or Patran to construct Finite Element Models (FEM) and NASTRAN for static and dynamic evaluations. Experience creating formal stress reports. Require minimum BS degree in Engineering discipline.
