PART TIME, 32 hours per week
WORK HOURS: 7:30 - 4:30pm
Provides consultation and direction regarding research, tests and analyses to support the use of materials, processes and equipment in the engineering and manufacture of products. Consults on methodologies to evaluate and qualify materials, processes, suppliers and equipment against conformance and producibility requirements. Oversees complex parts failure analysis. Directs the design, fabrication and testing of new concepts and technologies for incorporation into materials, processes and equipment. Directs the design, fabrication and test of prototype and large scale assemblies. Supports production implementation of materials, processes and equipment. Provides direction on content of material and process specification and standards. Works under consultative direction.
JOB SKILLS: Minimum 15 years related experience required. Detailed knowledge of ASTM methods related to mechanical and physical testing of composite materials highly desired.
6+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
