Part of the 747/787 Flight Test Core Team. The Manufacturing Planner will: develop, implement and maintain installation plans, Bills of Materials ( BOM ), work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration; develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives; develop and integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements; review and approve supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met; develop tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements; investigates and resolve manufacturing related issues; provide producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules. The emphasis of this position is on the installation of flight test installations and assemblies. Apply knowledge of processes and materials including Installation, assembly, and tooling; the ability to determine the preferred process, assist in the design concept, and direct the manufacture of assemblies and installations; able to work in an agile environment with swift changes in direction, and possess ability and desire to try different solutions; strong teaming abilities; ability to work within diverse cultures and functional disciplines; have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present concepts to employees and managers at all levels.
JOB SKILLS: AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
