Job Skills:
1. This position is for Materials & Processes Engineer/Metallic Materials.
2. Bachelor degree in engineering concentrating in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Science/Engineering preferred.
3. Minimum 10 years of directly related experience in manufacturing / production / design experience with metallic materials (aluminum, ferrous, titanium) and fabrication processes (welding, heat treat, forming, machining, fastening, NDT inspection, etc.) or 15 years experience with broad experience in several of the above metallic materials disciplines.
4. Experience in corrosion/corrosion control, and metallic materials failure analysis desired.
5. Must have experience with aircraft engineering design support (design and drawing review).
6. Must have experience with process development/materials applications and trouble-shooting in an aircraft production environment.
7. Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Experience with CATIA desired.
Experience/Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
10 yrs in the specific technical discipline or 15 yrs. broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors, or 8 yrs. in the specific technical discipline with Master's, or 6 yrs. in the specific technical discipline with PhD.
12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
