Position

Overview

Investigates and offers options to resolve manufacturing/supplier issues. Coordinates change, optimizing processes, ensuring producibility, developmental, and production/post-production problems are resolved in support of the manufacturing process.
Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs. Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.
Co-develops work statements and sequencing of events with business partners to develop schedules and templates using various business systems to support delivery commitments. Applies standard processes and procedures.
Develops and coordinates specification and delivery requirements with internal and external suppliers. Reviews and approves supplier data submittals ensuring program and contractual requirements are met.
Creates and maintains complex manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations based on design requirements utilizing Company and regulatory procedures that incorporates the intent of engineering, customer and supplier requirements to document as-built configuration. Organizes, prioritizes, schedules and assigns work packages as required. Reviews and authorizes the release of work packages for approval.
Creates, reviews and maintains policies, processes and procedures by coordinating and negotiating with other organizations to support program and regulatory agency requirements.

JOB SKILLS: Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration. Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives. Develops and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements. Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met. Develops tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements. Manages tools from initial design to end of use disposition. Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues. Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs. Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules. Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments. Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements. Works under general direction.

AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
7+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
