Field Service Representative

JOB DUTIES: The position is located in Walled Lake, Michigan (Detroit Sector) in support of the SBInet Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) program. The successful candidate will be based at the Walled Lake facility; with primary duties supporting the SBInet systems and equipment in the Detroit sector and other sectors as needed. Performs organizational level preventive and corrective maintenance and technical support of delivered equipment. Develops and implements routine and advanced troubleshooting procedures to isolate equipment problems not detected by system diagnostics or detailed by available technical documentation. Documents field site planning and deployment activities and reports events to the appropriate operational and management levels. Interprets technical documentation to implement field solutions and provides suggestions on improvements to technical documentation. Provides specialized on-the-job training to other field service representatives and customer technical representatives as needed, or requested by management. Develops and provides solutions to a wide variety of technically complex problems and appropriately documents results. Adapts quickly to changing customer requirements. Communicates efficiently and effectively with program management, the customer, CBP field agents and fellow field service representatives. JOB SKILLS: JOB SKILLS: Ability to climb 40¿-120¿ towers. Climb certified by an accredited school is preferred. Individual must currently possess a security clearance and be able to pass a background investigation for award of Final Suitability status from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Programs Security Division.
