Utilize your expertise in advance composite processes and materials in primary structural applications. In this position, the candidate will work under the leadership of a senior engineer, and is expected to plan (tasks, schedule, budget), conduct and communicate results of technology development efforts to advance the state of the art, resolve technical concerns, mature emerging technologies and enable implementation of new composite fabrication technologies into production. This is a hands-on position in both a lab and production environment with specific assignments that may include process development, automation systems for composite fabrication, and tooling for composites. These efforts may also include coordination or collaboration with Company program partners in the development or transfer of enabling fabrication technologies.
JOB SKILLS: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's, Master's degree or PhD degree with 5-12 years experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
6+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
