Routes, coordinates, consolidates and expedites shipments. Prepares shipping documents for all modes of transportation, using internal and external systems and applications to ship freight. Retains shipping records in accordance with company records retention policies to comply with internal and external regulations.
Enters data into standard software systems to support the selection of carriers and spot quotes, in conjunction with other company organizations. Provides data to support the assessment of carrier performance to ensure adherence with contract requirements.
Assists in maintenance of import and export control program. Prepares and transmits export documentation using the Automated Export System. Utilizes import and export licenses and classifies goods according to export regulations and for routine shipments. Interfaces with freight forwarders and carriers on standard shipments. Interfaces with internal compliance organizations to ensure compliance.
