Implements fabrication, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams. Develops tooling, interchangeability and replacement, and functional test plans. Using the established manufacturing process flow, defines sequences of events, develops text and graphics work instructions, manufacturing datasets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of material. Communicates with engineering teams to influence and clarify design concepts. Coordinates change incorporation, optimizes processes, addresses producibility issues and production and postproduction problems. Maintains configuration control of the manufacturing build plan. Apply knowledge of processes and materials including fabrication (machining or layup), assembly, and tooling. Ability to determine the preferred process, assist in the design concept, and direct the manufacture of composites (e.g., materials, metal bond assembly, tooling and assembly, color code design integration, etc.).
1-5 years experience preferred.
Education Requirements: Engineering degree required (mechanical, industrial or aerospace)
