JOB DUTIES: This candidate will be assigned as the supply chain management lead forecaster for a program in Demand Planning & Forecasting. Identifies, evaluates and incorporates new and innovative methods, technologies to create models and run a forecast optimization and simulation. Monitors trends and conducts studies in logistics modeling. Develops new systems to gather data and analyze complex data to develop and manage multiple data sets to run demand forecasting, strategic optimization, initial spares models and logistics simulations on complex proposals and contracts. Develops methods to analyze, manipulate, update and optimize multiple, complex models. Develops and uses complex models to estimate resource needs. Assists in the development of new modeling and simulation tools, technologies and business and application processes to identify process improvements. Assesses supply chain practices to improve cost and cycle time. Evaluates new tools and methods and instructs and coaches others. Works under consultative direction. This position is for experienced forecasters only.
JOB SKILLS: Demonstrated ability to develop/execute methods to analyze, manipulate, update and optimize multiple, complex inventory forecasting models. This candidate will need to have a high level of analysis background in causal factors and other complex analysis.
Bachelor's degree and typically 15 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with providing presentations and demonstrating technical leadership a must. Previous experience with Military/Air Force/Navy business a plus. Experience with engineering, supply chain management, logistics, and business finance would be valuable
