Position Description: Mid level Drive System Design Engineer: The COmpany Defense, Space and Security, Vertical Lift division is seeking a Mid Level Mechanical Design Engineer to provide support to the Vertical Lift program. This position will be assigned to the transmission design team to support the design of components, modification, and integration of components for the H47 Chinook, MH-139 platform along with other Commercial and Military Variants. This position is located in Ridley Park, PA General Work Description: Supports the development and documentation of mechanical drive system components to establish system design. Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups. Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals. Supports system components designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation. Generates change requests to initiate and commit the release of new designs or revisions. Generates engineering change notices and releases items through an Integrated Product Data Management (IPDM) System. Trains others. Works under general direction.

Requirements: Skills: Mechanical Design, CATIA Education: Bachelors Degree - Engineering - Mechanical, Aerospace Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
